First Australian Mobile Phone with Android OS

Kogan Technologies today introduced the Kogan Agora mobile phone, which is the first Australian mobile phone with the Android operating system. Priced at AU$299, the handset features a full QWERTY keyboard, central navigation key, a 2.5-inch touchscreen display, microSD slot, and 3G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Kogan Agora Pro retails for AU$399 and comes equipped with a 2MP camera, Wi-Fi, and GPS. Both variants wil be available worldwide on January 29th, 2009.

Wireless Keyboard With an Integrated Track Pad

Here is the spanking new wireless keyboard from Sanwa that has a built-in trackpad. The keyboard also offers 109 Japanese keyboard keys, and 8 Shortcut keys. Measuring 450mm × 155mm × 24mm and weighing 550grams, the device utilities the 2.4GHz RF spectrum to connect to your laptop or desktop computer. You can use this keyboard from its receiver for up to 10 meters. You can grab it for 12,390 Yen or approx. €100.

Tivoli NetWorks Radios

Tivoli knows that internet radio stations are the next best thing on earth, so the company releases its NetWorks radios which feature built-in Wi-Fi connectivity to receive streaming internet radio. Users are able to access their networked PCs through an Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi network with the NetWorks. Other features include a 3.5 inch speaker, five favorite station presets, 200 station memory, Blue backlit LCD display and USB connectivity. You can purchase the basic model for $600, meanwhile the model with FM and DAB tuners is priced at $650.

Here is the first contactless smart card in a microSD flash card format in the world that was designed by Giesecke and Devrient from Germany. This card is compatible with any handset that supports this memory card format, offering security access and the possibility of contactless cash wallet functionality. No word on pricing at this time.

iRiver Offers Two New Digital Audio Players

iRiver will release two entry-level digital audio players in the form of the T5 and the T6. The T5 supports MP3, WMA and OGG file formats and uses USB connectivity to recharge and transfer audio files. It is currently available in 2GB and 4GB storage capacities. Meanwhile, the T6 is available only in 4GB storage space and has an integrated FM tuner with voice and radio recording capability. The T5 and T6 offer the battery life of 13 and 28 hours, respectively. The T5 is priced at $64 and the T6 for $77 in Europe.
